Today is my daughter’s first day as a freshman, yup, may high-school na pala ako. I was asking her if she was excited and she responded na ok lang. Tinitignan ko kasi sya eh parang ok nga lang, unlike nung ako ang maghihigh-school. Pero malay ko deep inside andun ang excitement. But one thing is for sure, ako ang excited for her.
I was telling her that now that she is in high-school she should do her best in school. High-school life is one of the happiest and memorable part sa buhay nang isang student. I told her to enjoy it but never to forget to study hard. I am fond of giving her tips that her life now is far more different from grade school. Because now little by little they are being thought the value of being responsible and independent.
Kanina pag-uwi nya from school syempre ako ang tanong nang tanong ever sa kanya..kasi nga di ba excited nga ako for her. Medyo malungkot si Ish, paano pala konti lang ang mga dati nyang classmate na napunta sa section nya now which is I-Kindness. But I assure her na marami pa syang makakainteract na friends and yung mga former classmates nya sa Gr. 6-Coral will always remain her friends. At ito pa, yung mga former teacher ko pala is teacher nya now. Apo na nga daw sila nang mga dati kong guro eh.
I just hope that her life as a freshie, then sophies,juniors and as a seniors will be an experience worth cherishing. I have a very happy high-school that even until now, looking back I cannot help to smile when I remember all of my travails then. I hope that hers will be as fruitful as mine.
