In Their Sleep ♥ ♥ ♥

Today, before I hit the bed, I cannot help but to take the liberty to take the picture of my kids while they are fast asleep. I know that my Ishi will surely not like the idea, since being a teen she has now been conscious of how she looks. But I just really can’t help to capture their innocence, and look how they hug each other tight.

My hubby will surely cry upon seeing these pics because these are just one of the precious moments that he has missed while working abroad. Our children are the very reason why he is trying to fight homesickness and loneliness of being away from us. Talks about the Life of a Pamilyang OFW. I just really love my husband for loving us and sacrificing for us unconditionally. As we have promised one another, in time, as we have planned and in God’s help, we will be together soon. It will surely happen since we had taken one step to get into that goal.

I love you Mahal, Ishi and Icko. Your Mama will take care of you and love you forever. I will take a bullet for the 3 of you. I thank God for a wonderful family that I have.

Lord, look kindly on my children,
so marvelously made,
fashioned by you from the womb.
Keep fear and trouble far away,
and any hand raised to harm
this children of mine.

And when life’s storms come,
give my children rest,
as on a mother’s breast.
In days to come
- which you alone know -
grant my children
eyes of faith for seeing far,
a loving heart for welcoming life,
hope that never despairs,
and a place always at your side.

O God,
I thank you for this precious gift,
and pray my children grows
wise and well.

“Train your children in the way they should go;
even when they are old, they will not swerve from it.” –Proverbs 22,6

I really admire people like you.. if there is one thing people with families abroad working hard for them is to really save and invest whatever savings they have for investments that will make the family stable and will make the OFW come home and work here.. family togetherness is always better. Good luck bigan!

    Hi sis,

I also love taking pictures of my kids while they are asleep. And yes, you’re right, i also have two teens and my eldest, a boy, really reacts whenever he discovered that i took his picture while he was asleep. But for us mommies, those are precious moments and if only we can stop the time just so they wouldn’t grow up and remain kids always… Have a nice day!

They really look so serene and innocent, don’t they? It’s precious moments like this that make us parents do sacrifices for our kids. We’d do anything and everything for them knowing that in the end, God will be gracious and reward us abundantly. Keep on keeping on, my fellow OFW wife friend. =)
