Ever since I was a child, I am very fond of reading books or self-improvement magazines. If there is one book that I will truly treasure until this day on that is “The Little Prince” by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. The book is a thought provoking allegory of human conditions. It is a very beautiful book that makes you think back of your childhood. A book worth recommending to our kids.
When I was still in college, I have read it out of obligation, since it was assigned to me for a book report. I thought that it was a bore but I was wrong. That was the story of my love affair with the Little Prince.
I have listed some of the most memorable lines from the book which I know you have been familiar with :
“One sees clearly only with the heart. Anything essential is invisible to the eyes.”
“Language is the source of misunderstandings.”
“All grown-ups were children first. (But few remember it).
““That is the hardest thing of all. It is much harder to judge yourself than to judge others. If you succeed in judging yourself, it’s because you’re truly a wise man.”
“… when someone blushes, doesn’t that mean “yes”?“

I cried at the end. Even for the movie version. it’s the most simple book I’ve written, but touches the heart in so many ways.
