There is s new diet craze that hits Japan and will surely sweep the world. It is called Morning Banana Diet. The diet is very simple, cheap and stress free.
The Morning Banana Diet regime is simple:
- A banana (or as many as you want) and room temperature water for breakfast;
- eat anything you like for lunch and dinner (by 8 p.m.).
- A three o’clock snack is okay, but no desserts after meals,
- and you have to go to bed before midnight.

“Sumiko Watanabe, a pharmacist in Osaka designed this stress-free diet to help increase the metabolism of her husband Hitoshi Watanabe, who had been rather overweight. In due course, Mr. Watanabe lost 37 pounds and introduced the diet on mixi, one of Japan’s largest social networking services. Morning Banana Diet books published since March have sold over 730,000 copies, and some have been translated and published in South Korea and Taiwan. The diet became even more popular after a TV program featured a singer who had lost 15 pounds in just six weeks. It was literally the day after that program aired that the shortage of bananas first became evident. “Bananas suddenly flew off the shelves, there was a 70%-80% increase in weekly sales compared to the same period last year,” says Takeshi Ozaki, a spokesperson of Life Corporation that runs 201 supermarkets throughout Japan. “
Excerpt from the official website : Morning Banana Diet
“The Morning Banana Diet remains pretty simple. It’s a diet for people who don’t want to bother with a diet, who don’t want to read a book (although there are books on it in Japan), who are basically in control of things but need a little structure. Give it two weeks. If the Morning Banana Diet doesn’t work for you, then you can move on to another diet, knowing that you haven’t been taking dangerous drugs or supplements, you’ve been eating a natural, nutritious, high fiber food (it’s certainly better than a cookie diet, right?), and you haven’t restricted your diet with extreme food limitations.“
Morning Banana Diet may be a fad, a diet trend. Although, there is still no documented positive result here in the Philippines, think it is worth a try since it is all natural. This is a good way to shed the holiday calories.
Will Brown Pinay do the diet craze, actually I will be starting it tomorrow and document if it is effective. Although the diet rules are very genericI will keep a diet journal and will see if after two weeks it will be effective on me.
On the sidenote:
I read a post about this, but I will still try and prove myself if it is effective or not. But ofcourse this will just be based on my chronicles and results may differ depending on the body metabolism.
