Maid Disaster

I have a real concern going nowadays….Ces my very trusted maid for 6 long years told me that she will be leaving on December 04, 2009 to start her new life as an entrepreneur (she will be tending her own store with her dear sweety). I am very very happy for her because even before she started working for me I told her that one day in her life there will come a time that she will transcend from being a maid to another phase in her life. And now that time has come who am I to stop her.

The most logical thing to do is to find another trusted replacement for her. So I was able to get one in no time thru a local agency. Ces was still with us to do the turn-over, since she will be off until 1st week of December. I thought that I am lucky that I easily find a replacement at an instant. The first days was great. Yes, she knows how to cook and she is good in cleaning the house at the same time doing interior decoration…. But on the 2nd week…ohhhh, something went wrong. The new maid has been too close for comfort. She will lie down in my favorite sofa unmindful if I was there or my children were sitting in the floor…Grrrrr.She will batt in just in any conversation that we have even though she is not supposed to be into it. Another grrrr….She has her own opinion on just about anything specially when it concerns the showbiz world and that truly irritate me to no end. She also didnt told me that she was a cigar smoker, which is a big No-No to me since no body is a smoker in the house. No offense meant to smokers out there but this is a matter of my choice. But the ultimate Grrrr comes when the new maid ask if she can take a 1 day leave in time for the All Saint’s day, she even ask for her “bale” of half of her salary. But the 1 day leave, became 2 days then 3 days…and to think that she has only been with me for 2 weeks. When she arrived home, as if nothing happened. back to her usual nosy, irritating self. She even told Ces and Ishi that the very reason why she was not able to went home is that someone from her family has a heart attack and she was tasked to tend in the hospital…Amfftttt, very coincidental huh…at the same time with the her disatrous visit to her family, she has her hair rebonded and nails and toes all made up…Grrrr..I hate sinungaling….

That was it….the dragon in me all flared up, but instead of throwing invectives to this very “mapagsamantalang” maid. She is a real “kunsumisyon” in the making. I do not need the best fat burners for my weight loss, because simply by just having this maid disaster is already a pound burner. I just told her to leave my abode. From the last that I know, she has her new employer an mahigpit…Good luck to her and to her new employer.

As of now I am still on the look out for a new maid. I hope that I can find a very trustworthy one like my Ces. I am not yet giving up coz I know that there are still the good hearted one out there.

But if worst comes to worst and I cannot find a new helper. I am soon considering on resigning and be a work-at-home Mom. I cannot
