I so love this Pinoy Mommy Communities Weekend Caravan 9. Why? It is a moment to shine for the blogger…Now it is not about the blog, but this time it is about the loving women behind their blogs.
I am known in the blogosphere as Brown Pinay, I coined the name for obvious reason that I am a “Kayumangging Kaligatan na Pilipina”. During my younger days, I do not feel so comfy wearing this color, but as I age I realize that my color is beautiful. “Pilipina ako at dapat kong ipagmalaki ito.”
I can say that I have good knack of sense of humor…Pang Pokwang daw pag spontaneous. This can be seen in my first year in blogging here in Brown Pinay where in I am blogging in vernacular (Tagalog), but due to some reasons obvious to fellow Pinay bloggers, naglevel up kaya manaka-nakang sundot na lang ng tagalog at englishan na talaga. Hirap kayang humirit ng jokes at patawa sa english….

I had been a blogger since May 21, 2006 to be exact. What better way to start my blog then to introduce myself in 100 different ways (100 Things About ME).
For 6 years my husband worked as an OFW in Saudi Arabia, the very reason why I became inspired to be a blogger, just to chronicle every single activities of my kids (graduation, moving up day, family days, birthdays etc) that he might had missed. We are your typical Pamilyang OFW.

Then as years passed by, this blog has been a mixed bags of just about everything running in my mind, a catcher of my rants, a haven of my thoughts and opinions – my personal journal indeed. I had several post where in I also shared some of my online blessing include a modern sofa that blogging has bought (blog about it here)
I am a Working Mom with two lovely kids and a loving husband (this is our Love Story). I am a Working Mom trying to fit it all into a 24 hours/ day. Until now I have difficulty with time management, but one thing is for sure – just like any Mom – family comes first. (So if someone from the office happens to read this hehehhehe, now you know why there has been an influx of leave credits recently huh).
Ive got 2 wonderful kids.
Meet Ishi and Icko. Ishi will be turning 18 this year, may college na ako….she is currently taking up Nursing. While my Icko, my Little bunso just turned 7. Just like any Mom I will take a bullet for them.
Meet my hubby, he has once guest blogged about his experience as an OFW, aba he can be Brown Pinoy pala. His composition is indeed an eye opener especially to the children of OFWs. At ito ang kanyang akda : From Saudi with Love.

In my 5 years in blogging, I had met several blogging friends who remains my friends until now. Some has already retired but we are able to touch bases until now. I will always consider blogger friends as “A friend form a Distance”, we may be geographically apart but we share the common love, writing, blogging and ofcourse – Family.

Hi Cielo! Kumusta naman, hindi ko alam ang ibig sabihin ng "kaligatan". Please enlighten me. Pareho tayo, I used to hate my skin color because my mom would insist that I wear certain clothes with colors that didn't suit my complexion and made me look even darker. I'm not even that morena mind you. But I learned to love my skin, lalo na in the summer. Dami naiinggit sating morena kasi ang ganda ng kulay natin, hindi nila alam natural na yun. Hahaha! Plus we are safe kahit na magbabad sa araw.

wow!five years, very inspiring mommy + i do hope i might be able to achieve the feat, too! i admire people with brown coloring the "kayumangging kaligatan" shade, i once had a tan after too much sun exposure in the beach + was like that for several weeks or so, i must say i look more interesting when browned:)
