2013 Blog Plans for Brown Pinay

It is already February of this year but I think that it is not yet late to give you a hindsight of what I intend to pursue for my Brown Pinay blog this 2013.

2013 Blog Plans for Brown Pinay

This blog has been my online baby since 2006. This blog was born on the 20th of May 2006. There have been several birth pains. There have also been many highlights and downsides. I have posted several “The Blogger is ON Leave” blog post as well as “The Blogger is BACK”, but still until this very day BROWN PINAY the blogger and the blog managed to survive the test of times.

I decided to have a blog plan for this year so I can be on track and so as not to loosen my enthusiasm since I have something to look forward to.

Here are just some of my plans:

- To regularly post at least twice a week {so help me God} – I hope that Ms. Procrastination does not influence me. {Hopefully every Wednesday and weekends.}

- Inspiring quotes at the end of each blog post – If you are a regular visitor of my blog, perhaps you have noticed that there are “inspiring quotes” (in bold and italics font and in green font color) at the end of my blog post.

- An Anniversary Blog Contest – since it will be my 7th year on blogging this coming May, I would be running a blog contest as gratitude to all my loyal blog leaders and even to those who enjoys joining a blog contest. So expect a request from blog sponsorship from yours truly.

- Blogger Activity: Pinay Blogger Interview – I am planning to launch this on my birthday come July. As a preparation, I will already be soliciting interviews from different inspiring Pinay bloggers from different genre, from different niche. I am still thinking if it will be posted once or twice a week… If once a week that means 12 Inspiring Pinay for a year, or if twice a week that will be 24 Inspiring Pinays. What you think? I am currently excitedly drafting the questions that needs to be answered. I have also created the banner for this activity. {Excited much huh??}

- To attend at least 2 major blogging events – I am missing my blogging friends so much, I need to meet them and bump around the circles.

- Blog Recap –I have several blogs under my name and I will be writing a blogpost to recap the topics that I have shared in my other blogs. I will be sharing this here in my Brown Pinay blog. This will be posted every first day of the month.

- Blogger Activity: To start a blogger meme for fellow Filipina. Wishful thinking? Yes it is, but it has been my dream to start one since it is a good venue to generate friendship among blogger participants. I have already an idea in mind but let me keep it by myself for the meantime so as not to preempt the fun. I just wish and hope that fellow Pinay blogger will find time to join, share their thoughts and be friends too. I still need to decide what day of the week should it be posted and draft the topics for its one year run.

- Spring Cleaning my Blogs – I really need this one. I need to check on the 200++ plus broken links detected by the broken Links WP Plugin. I also need to let go of non essential blogpost accumulated thru the years. Cleaning of broken links needs also to be done to get a good SEO ranking.

I hope that my enthusiasm will continue and the fire will not be dampen. Ever since I started monetizing my blogs, my enthusiasm and the contents of my blog somehow has faltered. How I miss the days that I am writing not just because an advertiser is expecting a back link…but I am writing from the heart.

But I guess that it is not yet late to bring back the glory days of my blogging journey. This year is the right time to bounce back – to inspire and be inspired.

Well, having all of the above in my TO-DO Blogger Plans, I guess this is enough to keep me active in blogging for a while and enough to keep of my system from being hiatus (my Camping Equipment needs to rest a bit since this activities there is no time to lag and camp around).

Handy Dandy Mama

Just been to SM and I bought several handy dandy tools and my Mommy tool bags. My son asked me why do I bought those screws, pliers and electrical tapes and some gardening tools, he even told me that I should have waited for his Papa. I explained to him that Papa is working abroad as an OFW and for now Mama is in-charge of all those handy dandy roles while papa is away.

He smiled and kissed me and told me “Galing naman ni Mama, Astig”.

Life Begins at 40

Yes today is my 40th birthday. I am happy to be 40, well after all isn’t it that “Life begins at 40”. I don’t mind getting old, age is just a number, and attitude towards age is what matters most.

Modesty aside, it is a real compliment whenever someone tells me that I don’t look like my age and I look younger than 40. Perhaps it is because of my attitude, modesty aside I can crack you up with my jokes. Actually, a friend once told me that I can give Pokwang and AiAi a run for their money – not because of their looks but because of my humor. I wouldn’t also mind if I look alike them if I will get just even half of their wealth and fame hehehe. Yes peeps, when I am laid off my job I can be a stand up comedienne on the side hehehhe. But I don’t really mind since with my age comes all my treasured experiences in life.

Now that I am 40 I am looking forward to another 40 years that life has to offer. At 40 I know that I still have a long way to go and a lot to learn. My life revolves around my family wherein my hubby and kids are my epicenter, but now at 40 I would also love to be a man for others. At 40, I will continue being an inspiration to others and an instrument in spreading Christian living thru my experiences in life. I am not perfect, I am also at flaws but I will try to be a Man for Others.

I don’t mind growing old, it is just a number….Age is a question of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.

I am just wondering, it is my joy to know how did I ever touch your life in my 39 years of existence…..

I hope that I have positively, how I wish that I was able to make you smile or inspire you in my own little ways personally or thru this blog.

If I haven’t how I wish that now in my 40th I will be able to bring a little sunshine in your space….

I am looking forward for another 40 years of my life.

It is My 6th Year Anniversary as Brown Pinay, My 6th Year as A Blogger – and I Almost Forgot

Its already 11:20pm of May 20, 2012 and I almost forget that today is my 6th year in blogging. Today is my blog-a-versary.

It is my 6th year as Brown Pinay of the blogosphere.

There is really no funfare to celebrate, but nevertheless I am very very happy that after 6 years I am still here blogging and sharing bits and parcel of me.

Blogging is a fulfillment of one of my frustrations in life – to be a journalist. Although it was not fulfilled, this blog has been a haven of my thoughts and experiences in life.

This blog is a real blessing to me, I am able to earn my few dollars and buy little comfort from it. I was able to buy our sofa set, bean bag sofa, helps pay the bills, buy my little “capricho” just to name a few.The best part of it is meeting friends whom I reagrd before as a friend from a distance. But eventually they also become a personal friend online and even offline. It is always nice to put faces in the name of the bloggers and their blogs.

This blog has been very vital in keeping the communication with my OFW hubby alive. My Brown Pinay has been practically in every occasions in our life, in almost every ups and downs. I have several “The Blogger is On Leave” posts and several “The Blogger is Back to Blogging” posts. True enough but once a blogger always a blogger and you just cannot get enough of it.

After 6 years here I am still blogging my heart out and sharing my thoughts as Brown Pinay. For how long? I could not tell. I just hope that my passion to blog continue burning, but should the time comes that I decide to retire my Brown Pinay blog, it will always be my joy reading all those years of heart warming experiences, frustrations and sadness and happy memories of my life.

To my family, my siblings, my parents, my pampankins and specially to my hubby and to my little bundle of joys – Ishi and Icko – thanks for the inspiration and love. You always inspire me to write, you inspire me to blog, you all inspire me to share my happiness and inspire others.

To all my readers and followers at even yung mga nadaan lang dahil kay Mr. Google. Thank you very much…Maraming Salamat sa iyong pagdaan.

Sa Araw na ito “Maligayang 19th taon ng ating Kasal”

Sa araw na ito hayaan mo naman akong maging senti at emo…hayaan mo munang akong magblog sa aking inang wika…Tagalog muna dahil hindi lahat ng oras ay English…ang sarap din magblog ng ganito. Namiss ko ito ng husto, gaya nung mga unang taon ko pa lang bilang blogger. Walang iniisip na mga online chuvaness at dependencies.

Sa araw na ito, hayaan mong batiin ko ang aking mahal na asawa ng isang mapagmahal na “Happy 19th Wedding Anniversary, Mahal ko”. Malayo ka man dyan sa malangis na bansa ng Saudi, mananatiling malapit ang puso mo sa akin. Cheezyy…opo cheesy talaga kami. Hindi takot mag express ng pagmamahal kahit na kinikilabatutan na minsan ang aking anak na panganay sa kakornihan. Pero mas OK na yun kaysa naman nagbabangayan hindi ho ba.

Sa araw na ito, nais kong maging inspirasyon sa mga nagsimula sa teenage marriage na maari din talagang tumagal ang isang relasyon gaya naming (Although hindi ko kinukunsinti ang pag aasawa at pagbubuntis ng maaga ha). Hindi ito nasusukat ng edad o’ estado sa buhay. Dapat ay matinding pang unawa, pagmamahal at pag sisikap. Opo, pagsisikap dahil hindi ka mapapakain ng pagmamahal. Hindi totoo na kahit walang pera basta maylove solve na. Sus, pagwalang pera at walang mainum na dede si baby, away ang katapat nyan anong love love. Buti naman at sadyang masikap at mapagmahal ang aking mahal na esposo. At ang pang unawa akin naman yan…Moody kasi ang aking asawa at dyan ako champion ang unawain sya.

Wala man akong regalong material sa iyo (sana ikaw meron hehhehe) uulit ulitin ko na ang masaya ako sa 19 years na pagiging Misis mo. Ang akala ng iba ideal tayo, naku hindi po – hintayin nyo kaming magbangayan- pamilyar ka bas a gyera patani. Natural lang din yan sa mag asawa. Malayo kami sa pagiging role model na mag-asawa – gaya ng iba nag aaway din kami, madaming hindi pinagkakasunduan. Pero mas madami naman na bagay magkasundo kami. Ang pagsasama ay hindi perfect, ang sa amin ay sakto lang. Pero pagdating sa pagmamahal – siksik, liglig at nag uumapaw.

Sa araw na ito, hayaan mong hiramin ko ang kataga ng aking ama sa aking ina sa tuwing itatanong kung ano ang ireregalo nya sa aking Mama.
Sa araw na ito, araw ng ika 19th anibersaryo ng amig kasal ni Brown Pinoy, ikaw 19th araw ng selebrasyon ng aming pagmamahalan nais kong iregalo sa kanya ang “AKING TAPAT NA PAGMAMAHAL”.

Bilang nabibilang sa Pamilyang OFW ang regalo ng isang TAPAT NA PAGMAMAHAL ay sadyang inaalay ko sa iyo. Ito ay lubhang importante. Hindi ito nabibili ngunit dapatwat subalit ito ang pinakamahalaga sa buhay ng isang may-asawa. Kitam Importante na mahalaga pa, pag hindi pa naman…

Sa Araw na ito “Maligayang 19th taon ng ating kasal”. Imagine 19 years na kitang Sakal :)
