I Love MY Garden

If there is one thing that is keeping me sane,de-stress and happy (aside of course from my kids and hubby)nowadays, definitely it is MY GARDEN.

I just started gardening only a year ago, since we moved here in our new home in Marilao, Bulacan. Apart from cooking and blogging – gardening is my stress reliever – my ME time. Weekends has been more relaxing to me since it is the only time that I tend to my plants.
Let me be a little proud gardener and share with you my little haven. It may not be the grandest garden, but it is a labor of love.  I don’t have that gardener magic called Green Thumb, but I am passionate about it.

Gardening requires lots of water – most of it in the form of perspiration.  ~Lou Erickson

Aiming For A Better House

Our basic needs are food, clothing and shelter. In the Bible, actually if you have food and raiment (clothing), that’t about it. To live decently, though, we need a roof, actually a house with walls (for privacy) and a toilet for decent and healthy disposal of human trash.

It is but natural for human beings to look for something more than what we have especially if we can afford it. I mean, it is not bad at all to desire things we can afford. To desire things we cannot afford remains, though, in the box of wishes, until the time comes we can already afford it.

We do some things to be able to reach for goals whether they are minor or major. Owning a house is one thing. It is still better to be able to own a house than rent because you will not be haunted by rental fees forever and merely collect receipts. When you buy a house, even if it is a housing plan for several years, at the end of the agreed time you get to own the title.

Improving on what you have is not bad either. I wish to have one of those Boulder CO homes for sale and be part of the community even. All I have to do is contact a Boulder real estate agent who can help me find the house I would like to live in with my family for the rest of our lives, maybe. We just bought the house we are living in right now. We’ll enjoy it for awhile before moving again but I have considerations in mind already. Let’s see what the future holds.

PF: My Ishi’s Pink Room

Yipee! I am so happy since it is my first time to join Pink Friday’s. I just realized that although there are 2 girls in our house, we really don’t own that much pink.

But I am happy to show you my Ishi’s Pink Room the palette and the paint pattern of the room was chosen by my teen daughter.

Recycling the Wood Pallete (By Product : Wood Fence)

This post is to give ideas for home owners who wishes to have their fence made but short of budget. We intend to have a steel gate and fence, however our budget does not allow us at the moment. So since we had available wood pallete which is already for disposal and look at how it turns out after recycling it. Not bad huh – an instant wood fence which gives our home a country look.

Home Improvement : Lighting Sets the Theme and Mood

If there is one thing that I had learned from my Mom who happens to be an architect it is to provide good lighting in the house – she told me that if hair is the crowning glory of a lady, the lighting is the crowning glory of a house. Not only for the very obvious reason that a house should be well lighted, but Mama told us that it can also set the mood, theme and the over all look of your house. It is known to all that we had just furnished our newly bought home and I just followed my Mama’s advice.
